The Church Play
We were in the Christmas production at Cypress Baptist Church. Here are a couple pictures from the secular portion titled, "A Christmas in the Park...A Love Story". Obviously it was set in the early 1900's. Daniel was "in" for a while but he couldn't handle all the repetitive practice and finally we had to tell him to act right or quit. So he quit.

Boudreaux and the Parrot
Boudreaux walks past a pet store in Lafayette. A parrot in the window says to him, "You are REALLY ugly!" Boudreaux is not happy about this, but he goes to work anyway.
On the way home from work Boudreaux passes the pet store again and the bird says, "You are REALLY ugly!" Boudreaux is upset so he goes in to talk to the owner where he threatens all kind of bodily harm if the parrot says it again. The owner tells Boudreaux that he will take care of it.
The next morning Boudreaux wants to see what action the owner took. He goes past the pet store. The parrot looks at him and says, "Hey man." Boudreaux says, "What?" The bird nods his head slightly and says, "You know."
LSU Football
We went to the LSU/Arizona game this past weekend. The tickets were compliments of Robert Bowman. It was the boys first trip to LSU and Tiger Stadium. LSU beat Arizona 45-3. Obviously there was a lot to cheer about.
We stayed at a Bed and Breakfast in Lafayette. Before the game we had a cajun lunch at Mulates in Breaux Bridge.
We had a great idea for new business when we were driving through Lafayette. A new cajun cooking spice from the Valcheaux family.

Pigeon Forge
Before school started on August 9th we took off to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We only stayed a few days, but we had a great time. We went to Dollywood Splash Park and Dollywood. We played putt-putt every night. And we took a nice drive in the Smoky Mountain National Forest.
Grandma and Grandpa joined us for a couple of days. We were thrilled to see them.
If we go again we'll stay outside of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and drive in for the excitement. There are many cabins for rent...with beautiful streams and hiking trails. There is no need to get a hotel next to the NASCAR Go Cart Raceway.
